Overview
This position is responsible for managing sales activities across Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The role involves driving pipeline growth, increasing sales, and supporting corporate strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Exceed sales targets for high-visibility accounts.
- Expand the sales pipeline and increase conversion rates.
- Build and strengthen relationships within a defined set of accounts.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies.
- Collaborate with customer support roles to enhance customer service.
- Deliver customized product presentations and support customers through development and production.
- Develop strategic account plans to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary expert for your customers and their industries.
Leadership and Teamwork
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Work closely with internal teams to identify product opportunities.
- Engage in professional development with management.
Product Development
- Identify opportunities for new product lines with key accounts.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) and oversee product development to meet customer needs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and customer demands.
Administration
- Maintain accurate customer data and complete required reporting.
- Participate in sales goal-setting discussions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Technical field ideal but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally in the electronic component industry.
- Strong technical knowledge to address customer needs.
- Has a hunter mentality, strong drive, and great sense of urgency
- Experienced with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to travel up to 30%.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory for in-person meetings.
- Occasionally required to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment
- Standard business hours, occasional exposure to outside weather during travel.
