Job Title: Hardware Designer – 3 open roles in 3 different US locations
Location: Denver, CO, Newark, DE & Houston, TX (Hybrid, with preference for full-time in-office availability)
Salary Range: Based on Experience – $90,000 – $115,000
Job Description:
We are seeking a Hardware Designer to design, implement, and document control panels and management information systems that meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include drafting engineering drawings, assisting with project quotes, and supporting quality and productivity improvement efforts. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Draft engineering drawings for control and automation systems using AutoCAD.
- Ensure technical execution aligns with project requirements in areas such as:
- Instrumentation (applications, mechanical installation, interconnections)
- Electrical schematics, conduit, power, and cabling
- Convert engineering concepts into detailed, accurate drawings.
- Communicate effectively, advising project managers on potential conflicts.
- Follow and improve company procedures for quality and consistency.
- Test control panels and set up in-house systems for testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a “Panel Shop” specializing in control panels or related roles (e.g., superintendent, scheduler).
- Familiarity with NEC and UL508L standards for control panels.
- Experience with process controls and PLC programming.
- Ability to provide detailed sketches for CAD conversion.
Note: AutoCAD experience is required; proficiency with CAD drafting is not, as detailed sketches will be provided to the CAD team.
